Well, another year has passed. I am one year older… I just want to put the brakes on! Why does it seem to go by so much faster as we get older. It makes me sad because I know in a blink of an eye, my kids will be grown and I will have grey hair saying, where did the years go? Anyway, we had a great 4th this year. My day started off with breakfast in bed. My boys spoil me! I am so lucky! My niece, Megan, is here going to school at BYU (GO MEGS!) so she came down and spent the day with us. That was really sweet of her. We went swimming at the Spanish Fork pool and that was fun for the boys, especially Mitch. As you know, that is his favorite thing to do! No pictures though, I was an idiot and forgot my camera. In fact, I didn’t get many pictures of anything now that I think about it. I used to be the most camera happy fool, I don’t know what has happened to me!?! We had a barbeque later that evening. Lindsey and her girls came for that and the kids had fun playing. Then of course, we let off some fireworks! My favorite part! My neighborhood went all out this year. It was so fun! It was like our own private viewing of Stadium of Fire! lol!

Guess where?
So right after school got out, we skipped town again! We made a little detour this time though. I dropped Will off at my parents house in Arizona and my mom and I headed to their house in San Diego! It was so much fun! It’s kind of interesting staying at their house in Arizona because its not finished yet so it’s like camping… you have to cook all of your food in the barbeque grill out side or go out to eat. Only one bathroom works and no furniture, except for the random chairs and couches down stairs and in the “hang out” by the kitchen. I don’t even know what to call it because it was an outdoor patio before. Lots of changes in their house but very cool. (when it is finished) My boys love it, of course. They love going on desert hikes with Grandpa and riding the four wheelers. They love camping! What boy doesn’t? I love going home. This is the home I grew up in so of course I love to go back home.
In San Diego, mom and I took the boys back to Old Town because it was so fun and we didn’t go to the Mormon Battalion Museum last time we went. We really wanted to see that and it was definitely worth seeing!
Maddock volunteered to be a soldier…
Then afterward, they got to pan for gold!
Maddock’s last day of school
They put on plays the last day of school. Maddock was the troll in the 3 goats gruff. It was so cute. He is getting so big, I can’t believe he is going to be in 2nd grade!
He had a great year! His teacher, Mrs. Jensen was awesome. He loved her!
U2
Will and I went to the U2 concert for our anniversary. Seriously the best concert I’ve ever seen! So worth going! We had so much fun.
Too fun! The BEST!
